HVSS / HVFF Series Hand Valves
HVSS / HVFF Series Hand Valves
HVSS and HVFF are small hand valves for pneumatic air lines. They are used when an operator needs to open or close air flow by hand in a simple tube circuit.
HVSS is the tube-to-thread type. One side connects to pneumatic tubing, and the other side is installed into a threaded port on a machine, valve block, cylinder area or air panel.
HVFF is used as an in-line valve between two tube sections. It is the better choice when the shut-off point needs to stay inside the tubing run instead of being fixed to a threaded port.
The handle is meant for quick manual operation. In real use, it is often turned during machine adjustment, trial running, repair work, or when one small air line needs to be isolated for a short time.
Use HVSS when the valve will sit on a threaded machine port. Use HVFF when the valve will be placed directly between two tubes.
For installation, prepare the tube carefully. A flat tube end seals better than a slanted cut, and dust or scratches near the end can affect the hold. Push the tube in until it bottoms out, then pull back lightly to make sure it has locked.
After the air supply is connected, check around the tube port and threaded side if the model has one. A slow pressure increase makes small leaks easier to notice.
These valves are commonly found on small pneumatic stations, fixture lines, air panels, packaging equipment and maintenance points where simple hand operation is enough.
