VHK type hand valves are small manual shut-off valves for pneumatic air lines. They are used when an operator needs a simple way to open or close the air supply near a machine, cylinder, fixture or control panel.
The series uses a blue manual handle on the valve body. Turning the handle changes the air passage inside the valve. This makes the fitting useful during machine setup, maintenance, testing or temporary air-line isolation.
Several connection styles are available. Some models have push-to-connect tube ports on both sides. Some use a threaded connector on one side and a tube port on the other. Other models use threaded connectors on both sides. Because the model name may still be VHK, the connection style and size should be checked carefully before ordering.
For tube connection models, cut the tube end straight before installation. Push the tube fully into the fitting and pull back gently to check that it is held. For threaded models, match the thread size to the equipment port and tighten the metal section with a suitable tool.
VHK hand valves are often used in compressed-air circuits where a local manual shut-off point is needed. They can be installed in small machines, air panels, testing equipment, packaging equipment and general pneumatic layouts.
