Nylon 6 Pneumatic Tubing
Nylon 6 Pneumatic Tubing
Nylon 6 is not a soft tube.
If you bend it by hand, you can feel it is firmer than PE tube. That is also why some customers choose it for air lines on machines.
It is made from PA6. The tube has good strength and does not wear out easily when it rubs against nearby parts.
Where This Tube Fits
This tube is often used on machines, air control lines and small equipment.
It can also be used on some vehicle air systems.
If the space is very tight and the tube must make many small bends, this may not be the best choice. A softer tube may be easier.
If the tube needs to stay firm and handle rubbing better, Nylon 6 makes more sense.
About the Size
Please check the outside diameter first. The fitting must match this size.
Then check the inside diameter. This is the open space inside the tube.
The wall thickness is also important. A thicker wall can take more pressure, but the hole inside becomes smaller.
PA6 Material
PA6 is strong and wear resistant.
One thing to know: it can absorb more moisture than PA12.
For a dry machine area, this is usually not a big problem. For wet places, humid workshops or liquid lines, it is better to confirm the working condition before ordering.
Simple Installation Notes
Cut the tube end straight.
Do not use a damaged tube end.
Insert the tube fully into the fitting.
Try not to make a sharp bend right at the fitting.
