Ether-Based PU Tubing
Ether-Based PU Tubing
This is the ether type of PU tube.
It looks similar to ester-based PU tube, but the use is not exactly the same.
Ether-based PU is better when moisture is a concern. That is why it is often used in humid workshops or near water.
It stays flexible and can still be used with normal pneumatic fittings.
Where to Use It
Use it on air lines.
Use it in humid areas.
Use it near water or moisture.
Use it on machines where the tube needs to bend and move.
A Small Note
Ether-based PU is good for moisture resistance.
Ester-based PU is usually better for oil and abrasion.
So if the area is dry and the tube may rub often, ester may be better.
If the area is wet or humid, ether may be better.
Size Check
Match the outside diameter with the fitting.
Check the inside diameter for air flow.
Choose the wall thickness according to pressure and bending needs.
Before Use
Cut the tube end straight.
Do not use a crushed or scratched end.
Push it fully into the fitting.
Check pressure and temperature if the tube is used near water.
