Nylon 12 Pneumatic Tubing
Need a tube that is stronger than PE but not too stiff? Nylon 12 is one option.
It is made from PA12. Many customers use it for air lines, small machines and equipment where the tube may move a little during work.
When It Makes Sense
Choose Nylon 12 when the tube route is not perfectly straight, but the line still needs good strength.
It can be used for pneumatic control lines, machine air lines, vehicle air systems and some fluid lines.
For oil, water or chemicals, please check the working condition first. The material is suitable for many uses, but not every liquid.
Size Check
The first size to check is outside diameter. This must match the fitting.
The second size is inside diameter. This affects how much air or liquid can pass through the tube.
Wall thickness also matters. A thicker wall usually gives higher pressure resistance, but the inside hole becomes smaller.
Color Choice
Use different colors if several tubes are installed on one machine.
For example, one color can be used for air supply and another color for return or signal lines. This makes repair work easier later.
Before Using It
Cut the tube end flat.
Do not push a damaged tube end into the fitting.
Do not make a sharp bend right beside the connector.
If the system has high pressure, low temperature, oil or chemicals, confirm the tube grade and size before ordering.
