L Series C Type Quick Coupler Sockets (LSM, LSF, LSH, LSP)

L series C type quick coupler sockets are designed for pneumatic lines that need to be connected and disconnected regularly. The range includes male-thread, female-thread and hose connection styles, allowing the socket to be matched to different piping arrangements without adding unnecessary adapters.

L Series C Type Quick Coupler Sockets

Pneumatic equipment often needs a connection that can be separated for maintenance, tool replacement or changes to the production line. L series C type quick coupler sockets provide a compact connection point for these situations. The socket body can remain installed on the air supply side while the mating plug is connected or removed as required.

The series contains four body configurations. Although the socket end uses the same general C type connection profile, the rear connection is different on each model. This gives installers a choice according to the available port, pipe or hose arrangement.

Connection Configurations

LSM has a male threaded connection. It can be fitted directly into a compatible female threaded port on pneumatic equipment, manifolds, valves or air preparation components.

LSF uses a female threaded connection. This version is suitable when the adjoining component or pipe has an external thread. Its hexagonal body provides a practical gripping surface during installation.

LSH is supplied with a stepped hose connection. Its longer hose stem is intended for a direct connection to a compatible pneumatic hose. The source catalog lists the LSH model suffixes from -10 to -40 but does not print their corresponding hose dimensions. The required size should therefore be confirmed before ordering.

LSP also uses a hose connection but has a shorter, more compact rear structure. Catalog sizes include 6 x 4, 8 x 5, 10 x 6.5 and 12 x 8.

Thread and Hose Selection

LSM and LSF threaded models are available in PT1/8, PT1/4, PT3/8 and PT1/2 sizes. Before selecting a model, check both the thread size and the thread standard used by the adjoining equipment.

For hose-connected models, the hose dimensions should match the selected socket. The hose must be pushed fully onto the stem and secured using an appropriate clamp or fastening method when required by the application.

Typical Applications

These coupler sockets can be used on pneumatic machinery, workshop air tools, assembly equipment, testing stations and general factory compressed-air lines. The different rear connections make the series useful for both fixed equipment and flexible hose installations.

Benefits & Features

Operating Conditions and Installation

The L series is intended for clean compressed air. The working pressure range is 0-0.9 MPa, and the listed proof pressure is 1.32 MPa. The recommended ambient and fluid temperature range is 0-60 C.

Before installation, remove dust, metal particles and sealing material from the connection area. Threaded models should be tightened using the hexagonal section of the body. Avoid applying installation force directly to the sliding socket sleeve.

When thread sealant or sealing tape is used, prevent excess material from entering the air passage. Loose fragments can restrict airflow or affect the operation of the coupling.

Connection Check

Confirm that the mating plug uses a compatible C type profile before connecting it to the socket. Push the plug into the socket until it is properly engaged, then make a light pull check before supplying air.

Release the air pressure before disconnecting the coupling or carrying out maintenance. The connection should not be separated while the line is under pressure unless the operating procedure and equipment design specifically permit it.

For hose models, inspect the hose regularly for hardening, cracking or movement around the stem. Replace damaged hose and worn connection parts before returning the system to service.

Benefits and Features

  • Four socket configurations for different pneumatic piping layouts
  • Male-thread, female-thread and hose connection options
  • PT thread sizes from PT1/8 to PT1/2
  • Compact socket body for machinery and workshop air lines
  • Suitable for routine equipment changes and maintenance
  • Clear model grouping for easier connection selection
  • Designed for clean compressed-air applications
