KQ2L Series Male Elbow One-Touch Pneumatic Fitting

Air tubing does not always approach a valve or cylinder in a straight line. In a crowded machine, forcing the tube around a tight corner can leave it bent or under stress. A KQ2L male elbow solves this by turning the connection through 90 degrees at the port.

One side accepts pneumatic tubing through a push-in connection. Push the tube in until it reaches the internal stop. The other side screws into the equipment port. When the tube needs to be removed, press the release ring evenly and pull the tube out.

The elbow is often fitted to cylinders, solenoid valves, manifolds and small pneumatic tools. Its compact shape also makes air lines easier to arrange inside control cabinets and automated equipment.

Choosing a Size

Match the push-in end to the outside diameter of the tube. The male thread must also match the port on the equipment. Tube size and thread size are separate measurements, so both should be checked before ordering.

Installation

Cut the tube straight rather than at an angle. Remove any rough edges and make sure the outside surface is clean. Insert it fully, then pull back gently to confirm that it is held in place.

Use a suitable wrench on the metal section when tightening the thread. Do not tighten the fitting by twisting the plastic elbow body. Once the air supply is connected, increase the pressure slowly and check around both ends for leakage.
