KQ2 Type Compact Threaded Push-to-Connect Fittings (KQ2Z, KQ2ZS, KQ2ZF, KQ2VD, KQ2VT, KQ2ZD, KQ2UD, KQ2E, KQ2LE)
KQ2 Type Compact Threaded Push-to-Connect Fittings
Some pneumatic layouts need a threaded connection, but there is not much room around the valve, cylinder, jig or control panel. This KQ2 type compact group is made for those tighter spaces.
The page covers KQ2Z, KQ2ZS, KQ2ZF, KQ2VD, KQ2VT, KQ2ZD, KQ2UD, KQ2E and KQ2LE models. These fittings are used when the tube connection needs to stay close to the machine body, turn near a port, or bring several tube ports together in a small area.
KQ2Z and KQ2ZS are compact threaded styles. KQ2ZF is used when a female threaded connection is needed. KQ2VD, KQ2VT and KQ2ZD are used for compact branch or multi-port tube arrangements. KQ2UD is another compact multi-port style. KQ2E and KQ2LE are used where the fitting needs to pass through or mount around a panel or fixed point.
The specification image shows the available tube and thread combinations for each model. Before ordering, check the model shape, tube outside diameter and thread size together. A similar tube size can appear in more than one body style, so the installation direction should also be confirmed.
Each tube port uses a push-in connection. Cut the tube end square, keep the outside surface clean, and push the tube fully into the fitting. After fitting, pull back gently to make sure the tube is held. To remove the tube, press the release ring and pull the tube straight out.
These compact fittings are often used in small automation equipment, air panels, compact manifolds, testing fixtures, packaging machines and pneumatic systems where the tubing needs to be arranged neatly in a limited space.
