BC / PA / BUC Series Hand Valves
BC / PA / BUC Series Hand Valves
BC, PA and BUC are compact hand valves used in pneumatic air lines. They are selected when a tube circuit needs a simple manual shut-off point.
BC is the tube-to-thread type. One side connects to pneumatic tubing, and the threaded side is installed into a machine port, valve block, cylinder area or air panel.
PA is a tube-to-tube hand valve. It can be placed directly between two tube sections when the shut-off position does not need a threaded port.
BUC is used in a straight tube line. Its blue handle gives the operator a larger area to turn by hand, which is useful when the valve may be opened and closed often.
Use BC for a machine port with a thread. Use PA or BUC for a shut-off point that stays inside the tube run.
For tube installation, pay attention to the cut end first. A square cut helps the seal, while a slanted or rough cut can make the tube harder to hold. Insert the tube fully and give it a light pull before turning on air pressure.
Once the line is under pressure, look around the push-in ports for bubbles or air noise. On BC, the threaded connection should also be checked after tightening.
These hand valves are often used in pneumatic control panels, small air circuits, packaging machines, fixture lines and general compressed-air systems.
