KJ Type Mini Push-to-Connect Fittings

KJ type fittings are made for small pneumatic tube layouts where a normal-size fitting may take too much space. They are often used around compact cylinders, small valves, air tools, testing fixtures, control panels and light automation equipment.

The series includes several body styles. KJH, KJS and KJF are used for straight tube connections. KJL and KJW help the tube turn at the port. KJT and KJY are used when one air line needs to branch. KJU, KJX and KJE are used for tube-to-tube joining, different diameter connection or panel-mounted installation.

In use, the tube is simply pushed into the fitting by hand. A square-cut tube usually goes in more smoothly and gives the seal a better chance to sit correctly. If the tube has to be removed later, press the small release ring and pull the tube out without twisting it.

Model selection is mainly a matter of matching the body shape to the installation space. A straight connector is different from an elbow or tee, even when the tube size looks similar. For threaded types, the port thread should be checked together with the tube outside diameter.

Before fitting the tube, look at the cut end and the outside surface. A rough edge, a slanted cut or dirt near the end can cause small leaks. After the air line is connected, apply pressure gradually and check the fitting by hand or with leak-checking liquid.
