In some pneumatic equipment, the fitting has to deal with moisture, cleaning work, outdoor air, or a place where ordinary plated brass may not be the first choice. These SPC Type stainless steel push-to-connect fittings are made for those situations.
The series includes several body styles, such as ZKQG2H, ZKQG2L, ZKQG2F, ZKQG2T, ZKQG2E and ZKQG2S. Some are used for a simple tube-to-thread connection. Some help the tube turn at the port. Others are used when the air line needs to branch, pass through a panel, or connect to a female threaded port.
The push-in side is made for pneumatic tubing. The tube is inserted by hand and held by the internal gripping structure. The threaded side is installed into the machine port, valve block, cylinder, manifold or other pneumatic component.
Different shapes solve different installation problems. A straight connector is usually chosen when the tube can run directly out from the port. An elbow fitting is useful when space is tight and the tube needs to turn close to the machine body. Tee and special elbow types are used when the air path needs to change direction or split near the connection point.
Before choosing a model, check the tube outside diameter, thread size and fitting body shape together. Two fittings may use similar tube and thread sizes, but the installation space can be very different.
For fitting the tube, cut the end square and keep the outside surface clean. Push the tube in until it bottoms out. After installation, apply air pressure gradually and check around the tube side and threaded side for leakage.
