PE Series Union Tee Push-to-Connect Pneumatic Fitting
PE Series Union Tee Push-to-Connect Pneumatic Fitting
When an air pipe needs to branch in two directions, a PE union tee provides a simple connection without using threaded ports. All three ends accept pneumatic tubing directly.
The fitting shown here is an equal tee. Its three tube ports are the same size. For example, a PE-8 fitting is intended for 8 mm tubing at every connection.
Connecting the Tubes
Cut each tube squarely and check that the ends are clean. Push the tubing into the release ring until it reaches the internal stop. A light pull will confirm that the tube has been gripped.
To disconnect a line, turn off the air supply first. Press the blue release ring toward the fitting body, then pull out the tube.
Typical Uses
PE union tees are often installed in small pneumatic machines, air preparation circuits, packaging equipment and workshop air lines. They are useful wherever one air supply must feed two cylinders, valves or pneumatic tools.
Choosing the Correct Size
Select the fitting according to the tube’s outside diameter. Because this is an equal tee, all three connected tubes should have the same outside diameter.
Before ordering, check the tube material, working pressure and operating temperature required by the system.
Installation Notes
Leave enough space around each port so the release ring can be pressed during maintenance. Avoid bending the tube sharply beside the fitting. After installation, restore the air pressure gradually and inspect all three connections for leakage.
